ANTI-AGING -
BEST PERFORMING SELF and
NEURO-BEHAVIORAL COACHING
We have all seen the
differences. One 45-year-old has the nimbleness and state of mind of a
30 year old,
while another 45 year old complains about getting too old. Or one 35 year old looks and acts
ten years older and another
35 year old appears and performs like a 25 year old.
Everyone is different, and that certainly applies to aging and our
performance levels.
Everyone ages differently.
Recent studies show that aging is a flexible process and that there
is considerable variance in the speed and ways in which people age
and perform.
How old would you be if you didn't know how old you was?
Your true age is not a simple number but a combination of where you
stand along three dimensions: your biological age, your
psychological age, and your social age. Our biological age depends
on our psychological age.
Knowledge of our true nature / Self is essential to overcome the
fear and sorrow feelings that are really responsible for our cells'
inability at a certain point of age (beginning at around 30 years
old) to rejuvenate themselves. Our habit of fear sinks so deep that
the body remembers to manifest it, even when the conscious mind is
resisting it.
A new study (published Jan. 14, 2020 in Neuron by scientists at
MIT's Institute for Learning and Memory) of fear extinction not only
identify the exact population of brain cells that are key for
learning not to feel afraid anymore, but also show these neurons are
the same ones that help encode feelings of reward.
"We constantly live at the balance of positive and negative
emotion," Dr Tonegawa (Team Leader) said. We need to have very
strong memories of dangerous circumstances in order to avoid similar
circumstances to recur. But if you are constantly feeling threatened
by say; birthdays or our advancing age, fear of death or injury,
fearful that we will be replaced at work by someone younger etc etc..we can develop a negative mindset and critically affect our
cells ability to rejuvenate. You need a way to bring your emotional
state back to something more positive, more life affirming.
In fear extinction, an original fearful memory is essentially
overwritten by a new memory that is not fearful. In fear extinction
or emotion regulation neurocoaching the negative memory is replaced
by a positive existing or new memory.
Overriding fears with reward
The above study results demonstrates that the replacement of an
expected negative event by a positive event is also a reward in
itself and produces a wave of positive biochemical and behavior
changes.

How old do you feel?
‘Subjective age’ is the term for how old one feels and can vary over
time. It is distinct from biological or chronological age, which is
tied to our birth date.
The age you feel is probably the most important factor
determining your performance, health, happiness, and longevity.
Dr Susan Whitbourne (Professor Emerita of Psychological and Brain
Sciences at the University of Massachusetts) states; “In my research
on physical changes and identity, I’ve consistently found that the
people who are happiest and best adjusted are the ones who don’t focus on their limitations, worry about
their memories, or become preoccupied on how others view them. Being
able to subtract a few years from this subjective age, or age that
you feel, can actually buy you more objective years of healthy
and productive life.”
Your chronological age is a narrow and imprecise measure of your
identity.
If you’re willing to give up the hold that age has over your
self-image, then you’re ready to move on to the next step, which is
to establish an
ageless state of mind.
You are what you think.
There is nothing inevitable about aging. As Deeprak Chopra states:;
"... the mind influences every cell in the body, human aging is
fluid and changeable; it can speed up, slow down, stop for a time,
and even reverse itself."`
Our mindset and emotional lives have an effect of our physical
bodies.
The life of human beings is not one life but a combination of
millions of cells which are taking birth and dying all the time in
the human body. Our own thoughts can make these cells sick or
healthy making their life small or large thereby increasing the age
of human body itself. All of our life experiences are stored in our
cells and there are many ways to bring healing and restoration to
old ‘tapes’.
The deepest reality you are aware of is the one from which you draw
your power.
The moment we understand that the nature of our awareness is
timeless, this process of growing old can be slowed down, paused,
stopped and even reversed.
It's our unique capacity of consciousness among all living
creatures, which gives us this possibility.
As human beings we need to be aware of our own aging (mental and
physical)process and
being in touch with our ‘Self’.
We are inevitable victims of stress, sickness, aging and death.
Changing our consciousness changes our reality and one can create
a healthy being by our own consciousness--the interaction of the
mind.
SELF-Awareness has the power to change not only your health
status but also your overall mental performance such as output,
creativity, smart decision making etc and your physical performance
such as condition and stamina.
The key is how you have trained your awareness to manage various
key emotions, attitudes, beliefs and reactions etc (your Mind-Set).
When these mental patterns are negative or destructive, a person finds himself
driven by his mind into self-defeating behavior; when the mental
patterns are constructive, the person is motivated toward
self-enhancing, productive behavior.
Before it gets trained, awareness is just a field of energy and
information. Our Higher Self / super conscious is the domain of true
self-awareness, authenticity, and also the source of our higher
intelligence. It is infinitely more powerful than our conscious mind
can imagine. It has the potential to generate infinite combinations
of events in our lives. It is
the doorway to fulfill our potential, to find who we truly are
and…the gateway to living a longer, more productive life.
Our mind and bodies do not actually age in a linear fashion and that often
times it's just a self-fulfilling prophecy. I.e. You expect to not
be able to do the same exercise or reach previous performance levels, so you stop, and then you actually
can't.. but there is not actually a biological basis for this in any
given moment. Yes, we also need to eat well, exercise, reduce and
deal with stress and engage in activities that make us feel younger
and stronger.
But the secret is..if there is a secret..is all about learning to
live more in the present and to be in contact with your Higher /
Best Performing Self .
The idea that the present moment creates the past and the future at
the same time is a concept that most people find difficult. We see
time as a linear thing. We see the future as yet to come, and the
past as something already gone. Except the reality is on a
scientific / quantum level, neither one
of them exist. They both happen now.
Now is the only time that you have access to both. Who you were one
minute ago, has no relevance in this moment. Who you were one minute
ago, has a future only if you hold onto that identity.
Who you were one minute ago, is not who you are now.
If you let the past teach you that, you'll feel better and have a
better, higher performing, longer life.
The dissolving of the energy engaged in the Past SELF (concept of
ourselves) to ONCE AGAIN be freely able to express our true
individuality.
Although it is always the true Present Self that is living the form,
the Past False Self (illusion of the me) filters out its expression,
because the life force is watered down by it.
